What are the fees for groups to use SitterTree?
Depending on the job, groups may pay service fees, provider wages, cancellation fees, and/or processing fees.
Service fees
There is a service fee for each job. This fee supports the cost of running the platform, including customer support. Service fees are:
- $25 per job
- $35 per job in New York City and California
Services fees are charged to the card on file when you book.
Save with bulk Bookings
You can save on service fees by purchasing Bookings in bulk, in increments of 10 or more. To purchase in bulk at a discounted rate, select the Purchase tab.
When you purchase bulk Bookings:
- They are added to your Bookings Balance
- One Booking is deducted per job
- Bookings never expire
Provider wages
Provider wages are the hourly rate you pay your child care provider after the job is completed.
- In most states, you set the hourly rate. (Must be at or above the minimum hourly rate for your area.)
- In California, providers set the hourly rate
Payment is made through SitterTree after the job, in accordance with the provider’s booking policy.
Cancellation fees
If you cancel a job after booking a provider, there is a cancellation fee based on the provider’s cancellation policy.
Processing fees
A 3.5% processing fee is added to all credit and debit card purchases, with the exception of cancellation fees. To avoid processing fees, you can use ACH bank transfer to purchase Bookings and Sitter Bucks.
Direct hire fees
Direct hire fees are paid upfront when you post a Direct Hire position. Direct Hire roles are for part-time, full-time, or long-term staff that you hire and pay directly on your group’s payroll. For more information about Direct Hire and pricing, schedule time with a Sales Representative.
